The top tier pay scheme should be spread throughout the whole organization……or have shareholders inside your organization

Shareholders began to predominate over other stakeholders. And CEOs began to view their primary role as driving up share prices.

  1. The reason why CEOs are overpaid in the USA is nothing to do with a failure of the free market. Rather, this is caused by stupid laws. CEOs choose Directors and Directors choose CEOs in a circular arrangement with zero input from shareholders. Corporate elections are a farce, where nominated directors always win the “election” because they win if even 1 from 1,000,000 shareholders votes for them. This has been a huge problem for 20 years (at least) however most voters have no clue what is happening. Instead, most voters think labor union strikes will lower CEO pay.
